Integration of subjects through organizing themes is central to the burgeoning intellects of these young students. Each year a Shakespearean play is adapted and becomes a central learning focus in the third and fourth grades. Pride in speaking Elizabethan language, acting out such significant characters, and believing in their ability to accomplish this lifts these students into dynamic learners. Finding great strength and pride in learning is a hallmark of this age group.
