The Music Program aims to have each student:
- Sing and play a varied repertoire of music on a wide variety of instruments
- Express her or himself alone, within large groups, and with small ensembles
- Read and write musical notation
- Improvise or create music
- Listen to, analyze, evaluate, and describe different styles and forms of music
- Have the opportunity to learn the art of sound recording and engineering
- Understand various cultures through the study of music and music history
- Explore how the body and mind react to music, and
- Become familiar with movement as it relates to music.
