The Visual Arts Program focuses on:

• Appreciating the fine arts
• Recognizing famous works of art from our culture and other cultures around the world
• Analyzing and evaluating visual art from a cultural and aesthetic perspective
• Developing basic techniques and skills in a variety of media while creating personal styles
• Learning basic drawing and perspective as a means of communication, and
• Developing skills that allow each student to express him or herself emotionally and intellectually.
